Geometry

4 Pics 1 Word

With this project, we identified all the terms used in geometry with pictures. The end product was formatted in the 4 Pics One Word Game.

If You Give a Rookie a Macbook...

In this project, we learned about conditional statements, biconditional statements, and much more to help us use logic to create humor. Once you created all your statements, you had to make a video as well. Instead of "If you give a rookie a macbook", we used "If you forfeit your trust card". Below is the final presentation.

We Built This City

In this project, we got to use geometry in city planning! We created our own city in addition to using and learning new things in geometry. We got to use what we learned in the actual city we made. For example, transversals were streets. In the end, our city ended up being a cartoon town.

Bravery Bag

With Bravery Bags, we were able to use geometry and art to help contribute to #orangetheworld. What we mainly learned in this unit were tessellations which were also included in the designs. This project also gave us the chance to donate goods as well which was great. Below, you will see a picture of our Bravery Bag.

Geometry Case Files: Triangles

In this mini-project, we solved mysteries with geometry! We went into depth when learning about types of triangles and how to solve for missing angles. The link below will lead to the Case Files.

Home for the Henzies

This project really allowed me to see what it was like to design a home which you don't get to do everyday. We were given certain requirements to have in the house and built around it. We also learned how to do a cost estimate in this project. Below you will be able to find our presentation. Some slides will be blank because we had physical copies of those.

Geo-Art

At first I was very hesitant about this project because I'm not artistic whatsoever. Here, as a group we chose a genre of art and drew one of the famous pieces. Once we traced the artwork, we were told to make triangles. This all had to do with triangle similarity. Below you will find my art which was a butterfly.

Skateboards + Trigonometry = FUN

This was a mini-project where we applied trigonometry in the real world using skatebord ramps. We learned about different trigonometry ratios and when to use them. Below you can find the document with our work.

CSI Geometry

In this project we used geometry to solve mysteries! We specifically learned about cirles and how to solve for different things. Below you will find the document with the work.
